E120 cartridges not the same shape !? see 1 answer

We bought a genuine Lexmark replacement cartridge for our Mono Laser E120..... we were given one with the serial number 12017SR... since it starts with 120 we assumed its OK and since its was recommended by the salesman we accepted it. On trying to install it we found that its a totally different shape to the original thats in the printer? Its model is 12026XW. When we check the Lexmark website, its says both of these models can fit.. ? HOw is that possible?

  • The 12026XW is a Genuine Lexmark 12026XW Black Imaging Drum Unit. This is for use within the Lexmark E120 and Lexmark E120n printers. However, it is not a toner cartridge.

    The toner cartridge for use within the Lexmark E120 and Lexmark E120n printers is the Genuine Lexmark 12036SE Black Cartridge and can be seen here:

The optical photoconductor needs to be replaced. see 1 answer

Hi, I'm getting this message 'The optical photoconductor needs to be replaced.' from my computer and have poor printing on my E120n. Is the Toner Wheel the same thing?
