PLEASE NOTE: This is not a genuine Canon cartridge and requires a replacement chip from a previous cartridge in order to work. Simply remove your old chip by following these basic guidelines:

• Using long nosed pliers or tweezers grip the top of the chip and pull gently away from the locator pins. With the chip now free discard your empty cartridge.
• Ensure that you are using the correct compatible cartridge that uses the same colour and part number as your original cartridge/chip.
• Now, line up the pins on the old chip with the holes in your unchipped replacement and press down gently into place.
• Install the cartridge, you are now ready to print.
