hp yellow ink cartridge see 1 answer

how long will this yellow cartridge last if i dont print in colour? i usually print in black only, but the printer wont print in black only unless i replace the yellow ink.

  • Unfortunately, it is very difficult to say how long a cartridge will last. The yellow cartridge is used to produce the greyscale when you are printing in black and white, so anything that is grey will use the yellow. Additionally the yellow cartridge can be used to produce different fonts and formating such as italics, so unfortunately I cannot advise how many pages you will achieve with this cartridge. HP advise that this item should print approximately 860 pages at a 5% coverage on the page, this would be about 4 - 5 lines of text on the page.
