Why has the brand new HP 301XL cartridge apparently run out of ink after just 7 pages? I expected more than this for my £24.99. Is it because my black cartridge has just run out also - that shouldn't have anything to do with it, surely?

  • Yes, the colour cartridge will have stopped working because the printer does not work if both cartridges are not available, you will need to purchase a new black cartridge.
