  • These Compatible ink cartridges contain the following volumes of ink:

    PG-40-RET (Black) = 26ml
    CL-41-RET (Colour) = 24ml

  • For this printer you need one black PG-40 and one colour CL-41. They come in a compatible multipack for £30.56 and a genuine multipack for £33.74.     This compatible cartridge is much cheaper than Canon's, prints absolutely fine and seems to last as long. It is annoying that the printer does not recognise it, in its automatic usage checking, so it says ink is running low when it isn't. But the override (pressing printer button for several seconds, when the printer decides it must be out of ink) works fine and lets you carry on until the ink actually runs out.

    I am pleased so far with the quality of this cartridge. I am waiting to see if it lasts as long as advertised. I will probably order again soon as I have a higher than my normal printing to do and need all the savings possible at the moment.
