Dell All In One 942, a versatile printer for everyday tasks
The Dell All In One 942 is recommended for its diverse photo printing capability, as well as for copying and scanning. This capable printer can print from several different types of memory cards, as well as from the PictBridge port that is used to connect compatible digital cameras, with ease and efficiency. Adding to the versatility of the 942 is the 2.5” color LCD panel, which enables the user to view menus and edit, preview, and select photos before printing. The panel has four mode buttons, allowing the operator to switch between photo, copy, and scan. Color scanning is excellent and the copy speed of 3.6 ppm is well above average. Although it has no separate stand-alone fax, the 942 includes the option of scanning and faxing through your computer modem. Similar to other photo printers, there are the standard tri-color and black ink cartridges included in the package. A separate photo cartridge can be purchased for six-color printing, and ink levels are conveniently displayed while printing.
