Lexmark Ink Cartridges
Since its formation in 1991, Lexmark has been innovating and pioneering in producing the highest quality printing technology available in the world of inkjet printers. Lexmark ink cartridges consist of a unit housing both the ink reservoirs and print head. This means that when you have used up the ink, you have to throw away the print head as well. It also makes the cartridges more expensive. Usually there is a black ink cartridge and a separate colour cartridge and sometimes you can fit a photo colour cartridge which contains additional photo colour inks. Due to patent restrictions, the supply of compatible (not original) Lexmark cartridges is not allowed. An alternative to buying an expensive original (OEM) cartridge is to use a remanufactured cartridge instead. These are original cartridges which have been professionally cleaned, refilled and tested - you can buy them from Cartridge SAVE. Lexmark have also partnered with Dell to manufacture the Dell range of printers which share much of their internals with Lexmark. The cartridges needed for the Dell printers are not the same as the Lexmark ones, however, as the shape of the cap is deliberately different. Cartridge SAVE offer remanufactured cartridges specifically for use with the Dell printers.
