HP C1823A Colour Cartridge

For HP Deskjet 710, 720, 750, 810, 820, 840, 843, 850, 870, 880, 890, 895, 920, 930, 940, 950, 959, 960, 970, 990, 1000, 1120, 1200, 1218, 1220, 1600, G55, G85, K60, K80, R45, V40, V45, PSC 500, PSC 750 printers


NB: - When refilling, take care to refill colours as per drawing - NOT as inferred on the cartridge.



1. The filling holes are located on top of the cartridge and are sealed with small-vented plugs. Push these plugs into the cartridge using an old ballpoint pen.



Do not use the steel filling tube for this purpose.



2. Assemble the syringe and steel filling tube and fill with the appropriate colour ink.



3. Insert the steel filling tube into the appropriate filler hole, following the details in the diagram above. Push steel filling tube downwards into centre of the cartridge.



IMPORTANT - The cartridge contains a sponge and a slight resistance may be felt.



4. SLOWLY inject ink.



5. Blot the print heads with tissue to remove any excess ink before continuing to refill next colour.



IMPORTANT - DO NOT RESEAL FILLING HOLES. CLEAN SYRINGE WITH WATER AND DRY BEFORE REFILLING WITH ANOTHER COLOUR.



6. Leave cartridge to stand overnight on a protective, non-absorbent surface to ensure no leakage and to give the ink time to fully saturate the sponge.



IMPORTANT - DO NOT LEAVE ON TISSUE.



7. Install the cartridge in the printer and run a priming/cleaning cycle as per printer instructions.



IMPORTANT - For best results, refill whilst ink still remains in cartridge. Empty cartridges should be refilled immediately.
