Changing your Xerox Inkjet printer cartridge

Replacing your cartridge:

  1. Press the right arrow key five times until the LCD reads TEST MENU.
  2. Press OK.
  3. Press the right arrow once until the display reads CHANGE CARTRIDGE.
  4. Press OK. The LCD should read CHANGE PRINT CARTRIDGE.
  5. Lift the front cover and change the ink cartridge(s).
  6. Press OK. The LCD should read LEFT CART TYPE.
  7. Press the right arrow to select from the three options that appear on the LCD: NOT CHANGED, BLACK CARTRIDGE, PHOTO CARTRIDGE. Press OK to access a sub menu. This will allow you to confirm or change your choices without leaving the test menu.
  8. Press OK.
  9. Press the right arrow to select from four options that appear on the LCD: NEW STANDARD, OLD STANDARD, NEW HI CAPACITY, and OLD HI CAPACITY
  10. Press OK. The LCD should read RIGHT CART TYPE.
  11. Press the right arrow to select from two options that appear in the display: NOT CHANGED or COLOR CARTRIDGE.
  12. Press OK.
  13. Press the right arrow to select from four options on the LCD: NEW STANDARD, OLD STANDARD, NEW HI CAPACITY, and OLD HIGH CAPACITY
  14. Press OK. The LCD should read PRINTING ALIGNMENT PAGE as it prints. It will then show TEST A ALIGNMENT in the display window after printing.
  15. Press the right arrow to select the straightest pattern from each of the alignment patterns (A, B, C, and D) and press OK each time.
  16. The LCD should now read READY.
