Sealing Plugs

Use sealing plugs only where called for in the instructions.

Wetting the sealing plugs can aid in their installation.

It may be helpful to stretch the sealing plug as shown and insert it into the fill hole while holding it tightly.

Some fill holes may be out of round or oversized. Ensure the plug is airtight by placing a piece of strong adhesive tape over the plug.

Cartridge Flush Used as Contact Cleaner

Draw 2-3ml of JR Inkjet Universal Cartridge Flush from the bottle and inject some onto the contacts on the side of the printer cartridge. Rub clean with a soft cloth or paper towel.

Cartridge Flush Used as a Printhead Cleaner

Inject 1-2 ml of JR Inkjet Universal Cartridge Flush onto the integrated printhead of your cartridge and blot (don't rub) with a soft towel.

Cartridge Flush Used to Flush HP Black Cartridges

JR Inkjet Cartridge flush can help extend the life of your Old and New Style HP black cartridges.

Following the instructions for ink refilling but before refilling with ink, inject 10ml of JR Inkjet Universal Cartridge Flush into the cartridge. Cover the filling hole with tape and shake the cartridge to evenly distribute the flush. Remove tape.

Set the cartridge printhead on an absorbent surface such as a paper towel and allow the flush to drain from the cartridge through the printhead

Continue with the ink refilling process per instructions. Do this the first time you refill your HP Black Cartridge.

Cartridge Standing Time

Cartridges that contain a sponge to hold the ink should be refilled before they run dry.

For best results, stand your refilled cartridge upright as shown for 24 hours before reinstalling it into your printer. This will allow the ink to fully saturate the sponge at the printhead.
