Our Verdict:  

Brother MFC-J6910DW ink cartridges 

One of Brother's large format multifunction devices is the MFC-J6910DW, which boasts time-saving features including a built-in duplexer and dual paper trays. It is aimed at graphics professionals, amateur photographers, and home offices that require a large and heavy-duty printer for their daily tasks. Nevertheless, mediocre overall performance and average print quality prompts some users to look at more affordable options than the MFC-J6910DW.

Design

The Brother MFC-J6910DW features an organised control panel and is integrated with the Brother iPrint&Scan app. This 18.5 kg multifunction device uses colour inkjet technology with the 4-cartridge ink system. The flatbed scanner, colour fax, printer, and copier can support large-format (11x17-inch) media. Like some of the other large format models from the same series, the Brother MFC-J6910DW has a 3.3-inch colour LCD display, a 35-sheet ADF, and an automatic duplexer.

Advantages

The wireless and wired interfaces of the Brother MFC-J6910DW are surprisingly easy to set-up, and users have the option to directly print or scan to and from a memory card or smart phone. It is also possible to print directly from a digital camera or USB flash drive. The Brother MFC-J6910DW uses high-yield replacement ink cartridges and boasts an ADF, which applies to the scanner, copier, and the Super G3 33.3 Kbps fax machine. The 3-year warranty is a generous bonus.

Disadvantages

The Brother MFC-J6910DW is expensive, but many critics say that the price does not justify its overall quality and performance. The duplexer is only compatible with legal-size media. Some are not satisfied with the print quality. The large footprint is another drawback because at 21.3 inches wide, 13 inches tall, and 19.3 inches deep, the Brother MFC-J6910DW takes up a lot of space.
