Canon Mono Printer Review
Expert review of the Canon Mono printer
28 February 2014
Canon Mono is a line of monochrome laser printers that offer high-resolution prints and excellent workgroup solutions for offices. Models from this series of Canon printers offer high-speed A4 printing, while giving users great choices of expandable and upgradeable features to meet specific office needs. Print speeds vary depending on the Canon Mono printer model, but average rates range from 18 ppm to as fast as 40 ppm, which is an impressive range, especially for busy offices. However, these printers can only deliver black and white prints and are not multifunctional.
The Canon Mono printer line is a group of compact, single-function laser printers with very space-efficient designs. They offer low to high capacity paper input trays, while some offer extra manual feeds and multipurpose cassettes. USB is a common connective feature, but more advanced Canon Mono versions offer network interfaces in addition to the standard USB port. These units have excellent memory capacities, while some offer automatic double-sided printing.
The best highlight of the Canon Mono series is its capability to print high-resolution outputs up to 2400x600 dpi. Models in the series use high-speed laser printing technology, which significantly increases workgroup productivity, not to mention network connectivity, for majority of the high-end models. Additionally, these units offer excellent media handling versatility, capable of handling multiple types and sizes of paper and other print media.
However, the Canon Mono line does not support colour printing, nor does it offer additional multifunction features for more versatile office application.
