This midrange printer is aimed at photo enthusiasts and home users in need of a multifunction device that can produce crisp laser quality text and high-resolution photos. For an all-in-one, the Canon Pixma MP510 is very affordable, so users get more for what they pay for. However, its scan and text quality as well as its direct-printing capabilities leave a lot to be desired.

Design

Canon made the Pixma MP510 as an improved version of a predecessor, but with a smaller adjustable 1.9-inch screen and a reduced individual ink cartridge system (reduced to 4). However, the design retained the PictBridge port and the compact size –17.6 inches wide, 6.8 inches tall, and 14.5 inches in diameter. The discreet control panel of the Canon Pixma MP510 lets users sift between different tasks with organised buttons. The flatbed A4 scanner, PictBridge port, and 2 memory card readers are some of the other notable features on the Canon Pixma MP510.

Advantages
