The Canon Pixma TS8053 is a compact and powerful multi-purpose machine that is suitable for the needs of most small office environments. As well as printing, scanning and copying at high resolutions and decent speeds, the unit links to cloud services and social media, allowing easy downloading and uploading of print-ready material by pressing a few icons on the big LCD display. Operations may in addition be controlled remotely after downloading the PRINT app from Canon onto a smart device, such as a phone or tablet computer.

Design

With space in many home offices frequently at a premium, users appreciate the compactness of the Canon Pixma TS8053. It measures 14.6x12.7x5.4 inches and weighs in at a relatively light 6.5kg, considering the amount of high tech kit packed into its small body. It can be fitted into most small spaces and will not dominate the room. This professional-quality printer, scanner and copier is perfect for a home office and offers a print resolution of 9600x2400 dpi and a scan resolution of 2400x4800 dpi. Printed sheets come out at a speed of 15 ipm for mono prints and 10 ipm for colour, and each of the six inkwells can be individually replaced as the need arises.

Advantages

The Canon Pixma TS8053 is a compact, lightweight and powerful multi-purpose machine that will complement any home office. The LCD is impressively large and simple to use, with icons and associated buttons controlling a range of operations. Download the Canon PRINT app and use a remote device to print, copy and upload documents and images directly to social media and the cloud, and go easy on the ink by replacing only those that have run out.

Disadvantages

The Canon Pixma TS8053 print processing is not silent, if not exactly noisy and some people might consider the LCD panel overly large.
