The device is configured for direct connection to either a TV or a PC. This allows users to view photos and printer menus right from a TV screen. The Canon Selphy DS700 printer even comes with a remote control for accessing menus and options. Direct printing from memory cards and PictBridge enabled devices is also allowed, as well as printing from infrared cell phones. The unit, however, does not have provisions for battery operation and the lack of an LCD screen makes it impossible to select specific photos to print directly from memory cards or attached devices without a TV or PC. Instead, the machine prints all photo content off the memory device.

The Canon DS700 inkjet printer has a silver finish and stylish rounded corners for a more sophisticated look.
