  • My Dell All-In-One P713w is not printing when the ink menu shows 2/3rds full. This is proving to be very expensive. I've written to Dell at Bracknell about this but had no response as yet?

    Dell P713w printer error

I'm very sorry to hear about the problems you have experienced with your Dell P713w printer. It's very unusual for a fault to affect both cartridges so it may be an issue with your printer. I would recommend contacting Dell again, as they should be able to offer in-depth technical assistance and should be able to resolve this matter for you. You might get a quicker response if you contact them through their website. Please see the link below for further information:

  • I have a Dell P713W printer. It has developed a problem where it will only print in black if I set the printer to "Use Colour Ink Only." The indicators on the control panel indicate that the black cartridge is still 40% full. One of the suggestions on a Dell forum indicated that the printhead may be at fault. When my current Dell branded colour cartridge is empty, I will replace both cartridges with the ones I bought from you earlier this year. If the problem goes away, it means the black ink cartridge was probably dried up or faulty. If it persists, the printhead may need to be replaced. Dell want nearly \xA3100 for a new one (nothing more than a dinky piece of plastic). I can get a brand new HP printer for that. Can you recommend a non-branded replacement that will work? Thank you for your time. I look forward to your reply, Jeff.

    Replacement Dell P713W printhead

We're sorry to hear of the issues you're having with your Dell P713W printer. However, we'd advise you to contact Dell in the first instance and their technical support team should be able to troubleshoot the problem for you to determine whether or not you'll need a new printhead. If they do conclude that the printhead is at fault, we also recommend that you ask them for the correct part number and try to source one from Dell as we don't stock the printhead unit for a Dell P713W printer and this item is possibly only available from Dell themselves. We've attached a link to their contacts page for your reference: http://www.dell.com/support/contents/uk/en/ukbsdt1/category/Contact-Information/Technical-Support

  • I've cleaned the printhead on my P713W as explained but it's still not working. Do you supply a new printhead for this model?

    Dell P713W printer maintenance

Sorry, we only currently stock the Dell P713W ink cartridges. We advise you to contact Dell directly for a replacement Dell P713W printhead.

Dell All In One P713W Printer Review

Expert review of the Dell All In One P713W printer 11 December 2012

Our Verdict:
Dell P713W

The Dell P713W wireless printer is an affordable printer suitable for the small business or home user. The touchscreen interface is simple to use and allows you to perform simple image manipulation tasks such as cropping images without having to switch on your computer.

Design

That 4.3" screen looks impressive, bigger than many smartphones and the P713W All-In-One stands out from the nondescript black boxes that seem to be the norm these days. Ports for USB and memory cards are hidden away behind a cover keeping the front of the printer free of clutter.

Advantages

You can install high capacity cartridges which will improve the running costs. Wireless printing gives you the freedom to position the Dell P713W printer almost anywhere and there's also an Ethernet port to add the printer to existing networks. Eco-mode reduces ink usage and the P713-W can go into power saving mode after ten minutes of inactivity.

Disadvantages

There is only one colour cartridge, rather than the usual cyan, magneta and yellow which means that you'll be replacing that cartridge as soon as you run out of any of those colours, extremely wasteful given the effort Dell have put into the P713W's Eco features.
