Epson PictureMate 260 Printer Review

Expert review of the Epson PictureMate 260 printer

Our Verdict:
star

The sleek and portable Epson PictureMate 260 is a modern photo printer. This unit is excellent for photo printing. Not only does it have memory card readers and a PictBridge port, but it also comes along with a CD burner. The Epson PM260 photo printer delivers great quality output at a decent speed. The maximum print resolution is 5760 x 720 dpi. The only trouble with the Epson PictureMate 260 is its hefty asking price.

Design

Shaped like a rectangular bucket, the Epson PictureMate Dash compact photo printer – PM260 is fitted with a handle and comes in a sleek silver enclosure. The top cover hides the adjustable 2.5 inch LCD display and function buttons. The front cover hides the output tray and the memory card readers. The Epson PictureMate 260 printer weighs less than 10 lbs and measures only 8.5 x 6 x 6.9 inches. Ink and paper is sold in Epson T5844 or T5846 photo packs for the PictureMate PM260.

Advantages

The lightweight Epson PM260 portable photo printer is easy to bring on trips or store in the house. Users don’t have to wait long to get their photos; they also don’t need a computer to make it work. The PictureMate 260 has an easy-to-use LCD display, PictBridge socket, and memory card readers. Users can easily edit their photos before printing and can get back-ups by using the CD burner.

Disadvantages

Expect the Epson PictureMate 260 personal photo printer to be expensive because of its CD burner feature. The battery pack must also be bought separately.
