  • I have a HP 3520 e-All-in-One printer that takes 364 cartridges. Will it take the 364XL high capacity cartridges as they look a bit bigger? Thanks, Ted.

High capacity cartridges for Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One printer

Yes, the HP Photosmart 3520 e-All-in-One printer is designed to use the high capacity HP 364XL ink cartridges. "XL" means it's a high capacity cartridge. It's the same size cartridge as a 364 but has been filled to a higher capacity so you get more prints.

  • Will the Hewlett Packard 3520 e-All-in-One printer accept and recognise alternative cartridges? I've found in the past that HP printers aren't happy with copycat cartridges and don't give the correct ink capacity reading during use. Your comments would be appreciated. Thank you, L J Fowl.

    Replacement HP 3520 e-All-in-One cartridges

Our premium brand compatible HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One cartridges are simply refilled recycled cartridges, there's no reason your printer shouln't recognise them as they're fitted with the correct chip for your printer. Our cartridges are filled to the capacity they state and will carry the correct ink. We've spent considerable time and effort in the research and testing of many brands of inkjet cartridges and only use what in our opinion are highest quality printer ink cartridges for your printer. We believe that the best ink cartridge should be reliable, contain only the highest quality ink and offer great value. Sometimes, it can be that compatible ink cartridges don't report ink levels accurately although this won't stop you from printing as normal and using up the full amount of ink within each cartridge.

  • I've just placed an order for cartridges for an HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One printer. I've ordered 364XL cartridges by mistake as I should have ordered HP 364. Is there a difference or will they both fit?

XL cartridges for Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One

The HP 364XL ink cartridges will work in your HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One printer as well as the HP 364 cartridges. The only difference between them is that the HP 364XL cartridges contain more ink and are high capacity cartridges.

  • Do all the cartridges have to be replaced in the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One printer or can you just replace the one that is low?

    Changing Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One cartridges

You only need to replace the colour that runs out in your HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One printer. However, all four of the replacement HP 3520 e-All-in-One cartridges must be installed in the separate slots for black, cyan, magenta and yellow, and have remaining ink, in order for the printer to work.

  • Are HP 364 cartridges compatible with a HP 3520 Deskjet printer?

Ink for Deskjet 3520 printer models

There are two different HP printers with the model number Deskjet 3520 which include the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One printer listed here which does use HP 364 / 364XL ink cartridges. The HP Deskjet 3520 model requires a different set of cartridges and won't accept the HP 364 cartridges. Please also see: http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/ink-cartridges/HP/Deskjet-3520.html

  • Hi, I'm getting an error message of "incompatible cartridge" when I put a HP 364 into my Australia bought HP3520 , is there any way around this or do I need to buy a new printer? Do you stock the HP564 cartidges ??? Thanks, Gerard

HP 3520 from Australia - Ink 564 not UK 364

    Thank you for your query.

Our cartridges are only guaranteed to work in printers that have been purchased in the UK.

If you cannot purchase cartridges cheaply from Australia to fit in your printer it may be that you will need to purchase a new printer.

I hope this helps but if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact a member of the team.

HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One Printer Review

Expert review of the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One printer 04 March 2014

Our Verdict:

Designed for small office and home use, the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One is a compact all-around unit that offers basic office functionality at a great price. It copies, prints, and scans, though it does not support fax, and it only offers single-computer connectivity, which makes the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One more suitable for personal use. The device can do as many as 1000 impressions per month, and it supports full colour printing, copying and scanning. However, it does not offer the best copying rates, averaging only 6.5 ppm in black and white and even slower when printing coloured pages. Print rates are more decent at 22-23 pages per minute. This printer is also referred to by HP as the CX052B.

Design

Measuring some 17.3x14.4x5.5 inches, the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One is a truly compact unit, combining the abilities of 3 different office machines. It integrates a digital copier, which doubles as a full-colour scanner and it uses HP's thermal inkjet technology, allowing superior quality print results. It uses four separate ink tanks, reducing ink waste and lowering print costs.

Advantages

In addition to its all-in-one features, the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One boasts automatic duplexing as a standard feature. It is also capable of high-resolution scanning up to 1200x2400 dpi, which means scanned images are as close to the original as possible. The HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One prints on a wide selection of print media, including labels, cards, transparencies, envelopes, iron-on transfers, photo paper, and plain paper.

Disadvantages

On the other hand, the HP Deskjet 3520 e-All-in-One offers quite a slow copying average, rated at 6.5 ppm for monochrome documents and up to 5.5 ppm for coloured copies.
