Our Verdict:  

HP Deskjet 450cbi ink cartridges 

A basic home printer, the HP Deskjet 450cbi is a good addition to a home office or study setting, offering good quality prints for everyday printing jobs such as school projects, recipes, and the usual documents. An efficient choice for standard homes with average printing requirements, the HP Deskjet 450cbi can also print photos quite excellently with the help of the optional photo ink cartridge. The printer, however, only supports USB connectivity and is not network ready.

Design

The HP Deskjet 450cbi keeps it simple with only 2 ink cartridges and does away with other additional features to allow optimum performance. It has a vertical paper feed to save space, and is connected via high speed USB (Bluetooth is optional). The HP Deskjet 450cbi is designed for 500 impressions a month – good enough for typical household and personal use.

Advantages

More than its Energy Star certification, the HP Deskjet 450cbi boasts excellent print output. It also comes with intuitive software for enhancing images. Its cartridges can yield up to 520 and 400 pages at a time.

Disadvantages

Being a basic inkjet, the HP Deskjet 450cbi is quite an outdated model and is inferior to by more advanced units when it comes to functionality and features. But for a standard household with minimal printing needs, this device is still perfectly adequate.
