Black ink cartridges for Deskjet D4260 see 1 answer

My printer currently has a HP 350 black cartridge, and a 351XL, both identical in size. Could you please tell me if there is a difference between the 350 and 350XL as the latter seems to be slimmer in size in your photos. Can I use the 350XL instead of the 350?
  • The HP 350XL is expected to achieve about 5 times as many pages as the standard HP 350 and is a bigger cartridge. However, it has been designed to work in your HP Deskjet D4260 printer and to replace the smaller HP 350, so you should have no problems using this cartridge.

Colour cartridge for Deskjet D4260 see 1 answer

Will the colour cartridge 351XL be okay for my HP Deskjet D4260? My present cartridge number is HP 350.
  • Yes, the 351XL high capacity tri-colour cartridge is the correct cartridge number for your Deskjet D4260 printer, You can also use a HP 351 standard capacity tri-colour cartridge in this printer. The HP 350 is a black ink cartridge so you need to buy a HP 351 / 351XL to print in colour. Either of these cartridges will slot into your HP Deskjet D4260 alongside the black HP 350 cartridge.

HP Deskjet D4260 Printer Review

Expert review of the HP Deskjet D4260 printer 20 February, 2012

Our Verdict:

Simplicity is often an aspect of home computing which is foolishly overlooked and if you are merely seeking a printer which can produce documents in a swift and effective manner, there is perhaps little need for you to spend way over your budget in order to attain this simple goal. As such, picking up a budget printer such as the HP Deskjet D4260 might well be a good move, but what does this particular printer have to offer in terms of ability?

Design

The HP Deskjet D4260 is very simply designed and this is to its credit. After all, too many home printers rely on gimmicks and design in order to deceive, but the HP Deskjet D4260 is very politely and discreetly put together. The colour scheme is a subtle light charcoal affair and the printer itself is small and very easy to move or, if you don't wish it to be on show at all, even easier to hide.

Advantages

The best aspect of the HP Deskjet D4260 is the price of the item. As one of HP's more affordable printers, the HP Deskjet D4260 is a popular choice with students and the like as it prints clearly and effectively and will not cost you an arm or a leg in terms of pence. Print outs were clear and crisp and though the HP Deskjet D4260 does not employ laser printing technology, it's still very effective indeed.

Disadvantages

There are a few draw backs to the HP Deskjet D4260, but these only really show themselves if you expect too much of the machine. As long as you are happy in the knowledge that you have purchased a budget printer, the HP Deskjet D4260 will not let you down but anyone expecting miraculous results might be a little disappointed. So, remember that the HP Deskjet D4260 is not a world beater, but it is a very handy little printer.
