Designed for home offices, the HP Envy 4522 all-in-one inkjet printer is a great buy for photo enthusiasts that also require scan and copy functions. It can save precious desk space as it’s able to offer 3 functions, printing, scanning and copying. The HP Envy 4522 colour inkjet printer can also be used to produce lab-quality photos. Printing, copying and scanning speeds could use a boost.

Design

The HP Envy 4522 all-in-one wireless inkjet printer measures 445 x 367 x 128mm and weighs 5.41kg. It comes in a sleek black casing and features a touch panel with a colour display. The paper tray can handle 100 sheets. The Envy 4522 multifunction printer also has a flatbed scanner with cover and USB interface.

Advantages

The HP Envy 4522 photo all-in-one printer can deliver a maximum resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi. Thanks to Wi-Fi, users can easily connect to the HP 4522 all-in-one printer. It also helps that it supports mobile printing. A duplexer is built into the Envy 4522 inkjet printer for automatic double-sided printing. The HP 4522 Envy photo printer is very easy to operate, thanks to its touchscreen display.

Disadvantages

This model would be better if it offered features such as a USB host for direct printing from and scanning to thumb drives. The Envy 4522 all-in-one wireless printer has a rather slow engine speed, scanning speed is only 8ppm for monochrome and 4ppm for colour. Paper handling capacity is limited with no optional tray available.
