HP Officejet Pro 1150c Printer Review

Expert review of the HP Officejet Pro 1150c printer

Our Verdict:
star
star-filled

The HP Officejet Pro 1150C is designed for professionals looking for a colour multifunction device with a more efficient flatbed scanner and versatile media handling. It promises speed and efficiency, but lacks a fax machine and it is criticised for its sluggish print speeds and weight.

Design

The HP Officejet Pro 1150C is a multifunction colour printer with a small footprint that measures 12.8 inches tall, 21.3 inches wide, and 17.7 inches deep. Relying on a wired parallel connection, the Officejet Pro 1150C runs on 1.5MB of RAM. It can handle glossy paper, transparencies, labels, and envelopes. Two ink cartridges are required by the HP Officejet 1150C printer.

Advantages

Users can scan, print, and copy media sizes of up to 8.5x14 inches with the HP Officejet Pro 1150C.The flatbed scanner is convenient for larger and thicker media like magazines and books, and there is an option that lets users directly scan colour images into their text documents. The user-friendly control panel of the HP Officejet Pro 1150C is easy to understand, while flexible media options enable users to get creative with printouts. Up to 150 sheets can be loaded into the input tray to help increase workflow.

Disadvantages

Weighing 14.6kg, the HP Officejet Pro 1150C all-in-one printer is overweight for a device that lacks a fax machine. It does not offer the best quality output, with limited 600x300dpi resolution in both black-and-white and colour. The HP 1150C Officejet Pro does not offer postscript support either, and the poor memory makes it sluggish, churning up to 8ppm only. Running this printer can be pricey because of the high cost of consumables and non high-yield inks.
