Boasting a variety of connectivity options, this printer is among HP's high-end multifunction products and can fax, scan, print, and copy. The HP Photosmart 2710 has a state-of-the-art machine suitable for busy home offices and small workplaces. Some critics say that it is expensive to purchase and own because of the hefty price tag and the overpriced consumables.
Design
The HP Photosmart 2710 is a multifunction printer with a fax, scanner, and copier in one compact body. The flatbed scanner is found on the top part of the printer beside the control panel and the amply-sized LCD display screen. The maximum scanning resolution of the HP Photosmart 2710 is 2400x4800 dpi, while the maximum transmission speed of the fax feature is 33.6 kbps. Connectivity options include USB 2.0, Ethernet, WiFi, PictBridge, and a built-in card reader that can support SmartMedia, xD-Picture Card, SD Memory Card, Compact Flash, MultiMediaCard, and Memory Stick.
Advantages
The HP Photosmart 2710 does an excellent job in printing photos and text. The scanning and printing speeds are superior. It is well-connected with both wireless and wired networking, a build-in card reader, and PictBridge compatibility. The optional duplexer of the HP Photosmart 2710 also lets saves time and paper.
Disadvantages
