Our Verdict:
The first of the Photosmart C4600 series, the Photosmart C4610 is designed for home and small office use, featuring photo printing capabilities, a scanner, and a copier, all in a single multifunction machine. It yields crisp, readable prints and delivers everyday documents, web pages, and photos efficiently. The Photosmart C4610 supports various Mac and Windows operating systems, making it a flexible choice. However, this device does not support wireless connectivity, which is only available in more recent versions of the Photosmart series.
Design
The HP Photosmart C4610 boasts a compact design and a sleek black finish. The well configured flatbed scanner is right on top, and on the front left is the display and panel for controlling the printer's basic functions. Below the touch screen panel are the memory card slots and the power button. The Photosmart C4610 connects to the computer via a high-speed USB2.0 cable.
Advantages
The Photosmart C4610 prints up to 48100x1200 optimized dpi in colour and 1200x1200 in black and white; print speeds depend on the complexity of the graphics or the document. It has a digital copier with maximum copy enlargement up to 200 or 400%, and reduction up to 25-50%.
Disadvantages
Because the Photosmart C4610 is the first in the series, it lacks the advanced features found in the succeeding models, such as wireless connectivity.
