Our Verdict:

An all-in-one with a good array of functions, the HP Photosmart C6280 is one of the best low-priced MFPs you can find. It can print, scan, and copy at fast speeds, and with a 3000 impressions-per-month duty cycle, is suitable for heavy home users as well as for small offices. However, the HP Photosmart C6280 does not offer fax capabilities, and oddly, does not have PictBridge support when it is supposed to be a photo-centric printer.

Design

The HP Photosmart C6280 looks similar to its C6200 brothers, featuring a small LCD display for accessing menu options, as well as for previewing print jobs direct from memory cards. It has a fiddly control panel, consisting of too many buttons that line the top edge of the machine. The HP Photosmart C6280 measures 17.6x17.4x7.4 inches and uses HP's 6-ink system, adding light cyan and light magenta to the standard CMYK ensemble.
