I am sure when we bought ink for our PB DM50 from you I saw that you also sold the labels used by this franking machine. Now I cannot see them on your site. Do you sell them?
  • No, we do not currently stock any labels for franking machines.

Compatible DM50 ink cartridge see 1 answer

I'm amazed at the difference in price between your aftermarket Pitney Bowes DM50 cartridge and the Pitney Bowes original. Is the quality as good and will both of them last as long?
  • The quality of our aftermarket DM-50 cartridges should just be as good as the original cartridges, they have also been approved by Royal Mail. In terms of how long they last, our compatible Pitney Bowes DM50 ink cartridges have exactly the same page life as an original Pitney DM50 ink cartridge (800 impressions).

Warranty on Pitney Bowes DM50 printer see 1 answer

How do you back up your claim that my warranty will not be invalidated by using the non-Pitney Bowes inks in my DM50? Many thanks, Terry.
  • The Office of Fair Trading ruled in 2005 that a printer manufacturer cannot invalidate warranties solely on the basis of compatible cartridges being used. If it's proven that the use of compatible cartridges has damaged the printer, only then would the manufacturer be entitled to void the warranty. The company that supplied your DM50 printer should be able to explain the terms of the warranty to you in more detail.

Red Pitney Bowes DM50 ink enquiry see 1 answer

I'm interested in ordering the compatible red Pitney Bowes DM50 ink cartridge but - is it flourescent? Do you ship to Denmark?
  • The compatible Pitney Bowes DM50 red cartridge contains non-fluorescent ink. Unfortunately, we do not deliver outside of the UK.

Compatible DM50 red ink cartridge use see 1 answer

Does using a compatible red DM50 cartridge nullify the Pitney Bowes contract?
  • No it does not. The Office of Fair Trading ruled that no OEM manufacturer could nullify a warranty based on using alternative cartridges. The only exception to this would be if the cartridge itself was proved to have damaged your machine in which case, the warranty of the cartridge would cover any repair costs. Please note though, we've never experienced a case of a compatible Pitney Bowes DM50 cartridge damaging a machine.

Red franking cartridge for DM50 see 2 answers

Hi, I've bought the red 797-0 cartridge from you before for our DM50 franking machine, but today you're only showing the blue ink. Do you still supply the red? Many thanks, Sue.
  • We have recently taken our DM50 Red Ink Cartridges off the market. You can use the blue, but we advise that you have you machine professionally cleaned before switching.

  • Yes, our compatible red Pitney Bowes DM50 ink cartridge was temporarily out of stock but is currently available to buy again now. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

K780003 cartridge compatibility see 1 answer

This is the first time we need to replace the ink in our Pitney Bowes franking machine DM50. I've been told we need a K700 ink cartridge, will this product do it as it says 'replaces the Pitney Bowes K780003'? Thank you.
  • The product you're referring to is a blue Pitney Bowes K780003 ink cartridge. It replaces a genuine K780003 ink cartridge in machines that use this type of ink. K700 is a franking machine and this cartridge is one of the models it will fit as well as the DM50 franking machine you have. We can confirm that the compatible blue Pitney Bowes K780003 ink cartridge will work in the DM50 printer.

However, we also must advise that if you're switching from red to blue ink, the machine should be professionally cleaned first to avoid any damage to the machine.

RED INK POSTAGE CARTRIDGE see 1 answer

I HAVE A PITNEY BOWES FRANKING MACHINE MODEL K721. I NEED TO REPLACE THE INK CARTRIDGE, THE DETAILS I HAVE ON THE EMPTY CARTRIDGE IS 797-ORN K700. CAN YOU LET ME KNOW WHAT THE REPLACEMENT NUMBER IS PLEASE. THANKS BEV
  • Please see the link attached, the items listed are compatible with your printer:
    http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/ink-cartridges/Pitney-Bowes/K721.html

The slight difference with the coding could be due to the ones we stock not being the original cartridges but an alternative.

All the items are guaranteed to work however.

Pitney Bowes DM50 Printer Review

Expert review of the Pitney Bowes DM50 printer 06 June, 2012

Our Verdict:

The Pitney Bowes DM50 offers a reliable digital franking system complete with a built-in scale. It is a smart solution for offices that send upwards of 5 parcels or letters a day, saving time, effort and money from visiting the post office and purchasing stamps each time the user sends a mail or parcel. The Pitney Bowes DM50 franking device can save offices up to 20% on postage expenses, plus other additional promotion options and benefits.

Design

The Pitney Bowes DM50 franking machine measures a sleek 351x264x231 mm, so it’s quite bulky for a machine that only does one function. It features a weighing scale on the right side of the device, and a control panel on the left with a small LCD display. There is a slot for inserting envelopes and labels to be printed. The Pitney Bowes DM-50 is a simple device that can also be used for custom envelope messaging.

Advantages

The Pitney Bowes DM50 is an excellent accounting facility, which can help offices track postage amount per department. The DM50 franking machine is also a good way to save on postage funds, while giving users access to current postage rates with just one touch of a button. The Pitney DM50 can also print postage on all types of envelopes and packages.

Disadvantages

The Pitney Bowes DM50 printer, however, is not a very practical get for those who only send out mail occasionally. For those who barely have time to visit the post office for postage, though, the Pitney DM50 franking device is an excellent investment.
