The Epson PictureMate 500 is a convenient, compact inkjet photo printer for home and personal use. This is an ideal printer for a small workspace or desktop, lightweight, and about the size of a small appliance such as a toaster. The PictureMate 500 has a fold-down front panel that opens to a set of memory card slots for all the major brands. Through the 2.4” LCD picture viewer and with the assistance of 12 separate control buttons, prints can be cropped, edited, and sized quickly and easily, without the use of a PC. The printer includes the Epson Micro Piezo six-color ink management technology, which provides high gloss, high quality photos. With a 2.0 USB high-speed interface for PC or Mac connections, it is compatible with Windows 98, 2000, ME, and XP. The PictureMate 500 has a print resolution of 320 x 240 RGB pixels, an optimized dpi of 5760 x 1440, and it is recommended as one of the best printers in its price range.
