The Dymo 3M Dymo PL300 is a handheld portable label printer that will have many uses across retail and industrial sectors. It is a versatile device, allowing professional standard labels to be quickly printed in a variety of widths and materials. With battery power and a backlit LCD screen, the device can be used almost anywhere. With the option of storing labels, frequently used labels can be easily found for fast re-printing. It is easy to sue, although for those more accustomed to the QWERTY keyboard, the alphabetical keyboard on this device may take some getting used to.
Design
The Dymo 3M Dymo PL300 comes in a black-and-yellow design. On the front is a keypad with blue, black and grey keys. The keypad includes numbers and an alphabetical keyboard. A backlit LCD screen allows you to preview labels and monitor the device. It takes cartridges in widths ranging from 6mm to 24mm. It is powered using an AC adaptor or six AA alkaline batteries.
Advantages
Capable of taking cartridges in a variety of widths and materials, the Dymo 3M Dymo PL300 can create a wide variety of labels. A backlit LCD screen means the device can be easily operated in low light levels. The machine automatically pauses to allow cutting the label, although you can disable this feature easily to allow for uninterrupted printing of multiple labels. Labels can be stored in memory for future use. It is possible to print barcodes.
Disadvantages
As the Dymo 3M Dymo PL300 has an alphabetical keyboard, it may be awkward to use by those more accustomed to a QWERTY keyboard. The device keeps the last label created before you switch it off, which you will then have to delete before creating a new one the next time you use the device.
