Apple Releases Universal HP Printer Driver

Apple LogoApple has a habit of making big things for minute needs. The tradition is kept alive with the release of a universal HP printer driver version 1.1 for Mac OS X.

The package/download is a humongous 405.1 MB, and probably I could pack an entire GUI operating system at this size. Well, Apple claims that all printer problems with HP printers will be solved with this package.

Download the driver and have your affected printer connected to the computer (or have a print queue already setup) before executing the package.

The universal driver can be downloaded from Apple website. You can also download the installer package from the Apple Support. This software works on Macs running OS X 10.5.3 or higher.

Even if the driver closes in on half-a-GB, if it could resolve all my printer problems, then I don’t foresee any issues with downloading such monsters. I would rather deal with big files rather than face the wrath of printer issues.
