B40W : Office Printer from Epson in Pipeline

by Abhinav Kaiser on August 26, 2008

B40WEpson is not a brand that is closely associated with laser printing. To fill the void, the manufacturer has released B40W, an inkjet printer that guarantees laser-like prints and laser-like printing costs. It sounds like a great ally for businesses and could also fit at homes.

B40W leverages upon DuraBrite Ultra inks which dries quickly and hence prevent bleeding through pages. The printer is capable of printing on a variety of media, from envelopes and labels to recycled plain paper and even glossy photo paper.

This printer offers laser-like printing speed at 38ppm for both monochrome and colour prints and even better; the printer does not have to warm up.

This office printer is network ready through the Ethernet port at the rear end and integrated Wi-Fi. Wi-fi is especially great for homes which could most certainly avoid cables running over the floor or the wall.

Paolo Marenghi, Product Manager for Epson UK says, “Epson is introducing a new range of inkjet printers intended to meet the needs of office users. In the past, office printing has been fulfilled by laser printing technologies but with this latest generation of power and cost-efficient Epson inkjet printers, many office environments will want to re-think their in-house printing set-up.”

The Epson Stylus B40W is priced at £85 inclusive of VAT. The printer should be available in the market from the 1st of September.
