Brother Industries Ltd, the Japanese printer manufacturer released 17 new printers in London early this week. The range includes simple DeskJet printers, colour laser printers, fax machines and all-in-one devices.
Low end printers are gaining momentum in today’s market and Brother doesn’t want to be left out in the lurch. It released 10 low end inkjet printers; 5 are all-in-ones while the other 5 have an additional feature of faxing. Single colour LCD screen, USB 2.0 and multi-format card readers are some additional features available on some of these printers.
All laser printers that come out these days print in colour. The ones released by Brother not only print in colour but are networkable either by Ethernet for some and Wi-Fi for higher models.
Prices range from a mere 50 quid up to a hardly bank-breaking £200, with all but the fax-fitted MFC-885CW arriving in August; that model is due to appear in shops in November. Most of the lasers will go on sale in August and September, though the two unpriced models are set to ship in October and November, respectively.
