Canon has launched a new compact laser printer series in ImageRUNNER C1022. It’s a multi-function printer that touts of combining the performances of a stand-alone printer, stand-alone scanner and a stand-alone fax machine. The product is ideal for small offices, workgroups and general office environments.
Printing speed is decent at 22ppm for both monochrome and colour prints for letter sized outputs. Scanning speed is 20 impressions per minute.
Like most photo printers, a 3.5” LCD panel is mounted on the printer for viewing tasks and browsing menu options.
The C1022 printer can be remotely managed through imageWARE Remote that lets authorized service providers monitor the printer remotely for device error and service notifications, as well as consumables usage.
The printer can work seamlessly without a computer attached. Users can print directly through memory cards and USB storage devices. Along with printing, users can directly store scans on memory cards and USB devices in TIFF, JPEG or PDF formats.
The series has been introduced in two models, C1022 and C1022i. The i model contains all the standard features including PCL5c/6 support, and advanced sending capabilities, while the base model is highly configurable, with a number of sending and printing options.
The price of the base model C1022 is £1750 while the i model is at £2000.
