Canon’s professional series, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 is made for offices and they have plenty to offer. It’s versatile, small footprint, feature rich and more importantly the printer and Canon toner cartridges are economical compared to most other manufacturers.
The C5000 series comes in four flavours. They are C5030i, C5035i, C5045i and C5051i. I am not going to delve into the nitty gritties of individual models and will try to keep this post focused on the series as a whole.
Print speeds vary from 30 pages per minute for monochrome prints for the base model up to 51 pages per minute for the expensive ones. Colour prints are slightly slower at 18 pages per minute and 26 pages per minute range.
Finishing options are one of the finest in business. It is capable of stapling stacks and folding them as well; hole punching is yet another option though.
As one would expect, the C5000 series come with default network capability (not unwired) and feature automatic duplex printing.
The usability feature on these printers in a highlight in itself. It has undergone thorough testing and finishing to ensure that an employee could feel extremely comfortable while using one of these printers.
Canon, could only expect the best going forward, thanks to their association with Oce. Some new features will be incorporated from Oce onto Canon and cut in competition could also help the company.
