Canon has launched three new printers into the market earlier this week with two Pixmas, MP560 and MP490 along with an ultra-mobile printer, Selphy CP790.
The Pixma line of printers are multi-function printers that output great quality photographs and documents along with a host of most-sought-after features.
The Pixma MP560 is the higher of the two and it comes with a printing speed of 10 pages per minute for black prints and 7 pages per minute for colour documents. A full blown borderless 4β X 6β postcard sized photograph takes around 40 seconds to print. The printer is a network printer, both wired and wireless along with USB 2.0 connectivity for standalone PCs and sans PC use. A 2β colour LCD screen dons the printer.
The base model, MP490 is slower than the former at 9 pages per minute for monochrome documents and 5 pages per minute for colour documents. Postcard sized prints take 43 seconds to print. A unique self-opening paper tray to help avoid paper jams is also offered.
The Selphy CP790 printer succeeds Selphy CP770. Itβs a bucket solution that carries a bucket underneath the printer to collect prints. This time around, the printer is pale green in colour and comes with an optional battery pack.
Pricing information is yet to be revealed.
