Polaroid has announced the arrival of a digital camera with an integrated instant mobile printer. The multi-function camera is expected to hit the market around Christmas time.
Sources believe that the multi-function camera (MFC) will carry a maximum resolution of 5 Mega Pixels. It will feature a 16MB internal memory and a SD card slot for adding on additional cards.
It is obvious that the company would be employing the Pogo mobile printer in the proposed MFC.
Pogo is based on Zink’s inkless printing technology and is designed to fit the palm of your hand. The printer is capable of printing credit card sized (2” X 3”) pictures.
Polaroid spokesman said – “It will function as a normal digital camera if the user does not want to instantly print photos.”
