Duplo International has recently launched a new printer, Duprinter DP-J450 which is meant for offices and professional print shops. It’s an entry level A3 printer with an inbuilt book scanner.
The printing technology is a combination of master material, high carbon soy ink and quality thermal heads. Print speed is lightning quick at 120ppm which is a resultant of rotary ink and master system. The manufacturer claims that the outputs are outstanding with rich unbroken solids and the best resolution offered is 300 X 600dpi. The maximum printable area that this printer offers is 29.7 X 43.2 cm.
Wired networking unit is available on this printer and optionally, a USB 2.0 is also provided.
The printer is definitely feature-rich. Users can add extra visual impact to documents with the optional 12 colour spot-colour. Other features include enlargement and reduction, as well as text and photo printing modes.
There is a definite hue of green on this printer; it consumes 165 watts of power for the high speed printing it offers.
The manufacturer claims that the cost per print is cheaper than all photocopiers. The principle of ‘economies of scale’ is apt, the more you produce the lower the cost-per-copy becomes.
The Duplo Duprinter DP-J450 is available in the market and carries an elite price tag of £5850.
