Epson Conferred with Prestigious Awards
Epson has bagged two major European awards for itsprinter products, the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Awards 2009. The accolades presented are “Best Multi-Function Photo Printer in 2009″ and “Best Large Format Printer in 2009″.
The Epson Stylus Photo PX800FW has won the ‘Best Multifunction Photo Printer in 2009′, while the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 was awarded as the ‘Best Large Format Printer in 2009′. In addition, the manufacturer won yet an award in the projector category for the Epson EH-TW5000, which was named ‘Best Expert Photo Projector in 2009′.
TIPA is the largest photographic and image press associations in Europe. It incorporates twenty nine member magazines from thirteen countries within Europe. Members of TIPA vote on the products released in the past year. Some features that are looked at include innovation, the use of leading-edge technology, design and ergonomics, ease-of-use and, significantly in the current economic climate, the price to performance ratio.
The winner, PX800FW was chosen for its attractive looks that comprised of black gloss finish and the touch panel interface, giving it an ultra modern look. Also, the judges concluded that the printer’s output exceeded lab quality and all other printers in the fray.
Regarding the other winner, GS6000, judges were extremely pleased with the features offered on the printer, the print quality through a wide gamut and the efficiency shown by the high capacity cartridges.
