Epson has upgraded the popular A3 printer Stylus Photo R2400 with the newer and better R2880.
The manufacturer states that the new model will provide ample control for users over the white and black gradations.
Epson’s patented print-head Micro-Piezo is upgraded to the next level. The technology uses a new ink repelling coating designed to improve dot replacement, which in turn improves image quality.
Here’s an overview of the available features:
- Epson UltraChrome K3™ with Vivid Magenta pigment inkset
- Advanced magenta pigments – astounding reds, blues and purples
- Advanced Black-and-White Photo Mode
- Fine art, canvas and roll paper printing
- Radiance™ technology for smoother gradations
- Epson PreciseColor™ – no calibration needed
A senior manager of Epson has reportedly stated that the printer can achieve 85% of Pantone gamut using only eight ink cartridges.
The R2800 will be introduced into the market in the first week of June. It has an estimated price of £550.
