Epson Unveils World’s First Eco-Friendly Printer in TX510FN

Epson is perhaps in the making of history with the launch of Office Stylus TX510FN. The printer boasts of running on minimal power and a major portion of the printer is built from recycled plastic.

87% of the printer is manufactured from recycled materials that include plastic and other metallic heads. When not in use, the stand-by mode consumes 0.25W hourly. This is a nice combination of eco-friendliness displayed by Epson.

TX510FN can scan, copy and fax along with document and photo printing. It offers a best print resolution of 5760 X 1440 dpi and 1200 X 2400 dpi scanner resolution. Printing speed is grand at 38 pages per minute for both monochrome and colour.

This office printer is Ethernet enabled by default and comes with a 30 page automatic document feeder. A two line LCD provides ample statuses for users.

The Epson Office Stylus TX510FN made from waste does come at an economical price. It’s street price is at ₤109 and should be affordable for offices and most homes. An eco-friendly printer at this price is just the one people would need. It’s performance is a different question altogether.
