A strength that separates Canon from the rest is the longevity of its printers and the ability of a printer to hold fort for long periods of time, in years. Canon’s one of the flagship products, Pixma MX310 is a multi-function printer that prints in monochrome and colour, scans, copies and acts a fax machine as well. The printer is clothed in black, and the design is compact and stylish.
Maximum print resolutions are at 600 X 600 dpi for monochrome and 1200 X 4800 dpi for colour. These resolutions are still the standard in the industry considering that the printer was launched almost two years back. Scanning resolution is 1200 dpi and can capture 48-bit colours.
Canon’s selling point for this product is its printing speed and rightly so, the printer produces 22 pages per minute in monochrome and 17 pages per minute in colour. 4″ X 6″ postcard sized borderless photographs take around 46 seconds.
Connectivities are limited to USB 2.0 for systems and a PictBridge port for standalone operation.
We believe that the Canon Pixma MX310 is available in the UK market for under £50.
