Canon has been a leader in photography and printing but surprisingly, they have ventured into the uncertain market of gadgets. They have revealed an optical mouse, LS-100TKM, which flips open as a calculator cum number pad.
The idea of a flip mouse is definitely an innovation in itself.
LS-100TKM when flipped open, displays a numeric keypad and a 10 digit LCD. The calculator is capable of performing all the standard arithmetic functions. The numeric keypad doubles up to be used with the PC as well. This could be most beneficial for laptop users. Additional keys such as TAB key are also available.
The flip mouse supports Windows operating system only and weighs a little over 100 grams.
LS-100TKM will be introduced in the Japanese market early July and is estimated to cost between £15 and £20.
