Go Paperless with PDFs
Staying on the subject of saving trees and thus averting deforestation, the need to go digital end to end could be achieved with document formats like PDF. Portable Document Format, PDF in short, has existed for a very long time but it’s time to utilize at the fullest.
Shlomo Perets of Microtype, who is generally popular as a PDF expert has posted an excellent article on Frontrunner. The article touches upon PDF functionalities that could replace the need for printing up to a certain extent.
Using Acrobat Reader 7 and above, the writer guides through the commenting electronically on PDFs along with the usage of Type Writer Tool, Page Marks and Page Notes.
Going paperless has more pluses nevertheless. Digital documents help users search content efficiently and perform the complete review cycle accurately. Of course, the same could be performed in other text editors like MS Word, but PDF provides ample security such as document encryption and digital signatures for authentication purposes. Why not go paperless?
