When my room mate and I used to conduct camps for youth, we used to carry around a Polaroid camera to take pictures as and when required although we often wished that the quality of pictures were better. Forget polaroids for now, we have compact printers from Sony specially made for digital cameras. A combination of a digital camera and a Sony compact printer would be the next enhancement for a Polaroid camera. You think?
Sony Korea has launched two dye sublimation photo printers, the DPP-FP70 and DPP-FP90. The DPP-FP70 weighs in at 1.1 kilos while the other weighs 1.2 kilos. They have an estimated length of 18cm and a width of 14cm. They can function without a PC and the memory multi-slot can accommodate 24 different sizes of memory cards. These printers use the Sony patented Bionz technology and can output 48M resolution prints. These are the fastest Sony photo printers, printing a postcard sized photograph within 45 seconds; 5 times faster than other Sony printers.
The product page is in Korean and the Google translation hardly makes any sense. If you happen to know Korean and English, help us understand the full specs of this compact printer!
