Printer manufacturer Hewlett Packard is found in a new avatar as a manufacturer of standard calculators with a fancy touch to it.
The calculator, Quick Calc as it’s called, does nothing more than simple arithmetic operations but carries a huge brand tagged to it. To add to the flavour, it comes in four attractive metallic colours.
As Paul Miller from Engadget says – “Nice try HP, trying to pull a fast one on us with this here Quick Calc. Turns out there’s a calculator inside our computer, so we don’t need none of your fancy Quick Calc shenanigans…”
It’s rather surprising that a giant like HP would stoop down to such low levels to manufacture an ordinary calculator and go about just like any of their products. It stumps me, really!
