HP is probably gearing up for a new year with a load of new laser printers. Earlier, HP introduced CM3530 and we have another series on its way. HP has unveiled Laserjet CP3525 which is a more basic version of CM3530 and yet with performance, matches it pixel by pixel. The CP3525 is aimed at small to medium businesses.
The printer contains four individual cartridges, black, cyan, magenta and yellow and only the cartridge runs needs to be refilled; great for the environment. It’s powered by HP’s patented ImageREt 3600 technology for outputting prints at a maximum resolution of 1200 X 600 dpi.
Printing speed for black and colour is unmatchable at 30ppm. The printer requires around 11 seconds to boot up and spurt out the first print.
CP3525 is capable of taking a maximum load (also called monthly duty cycle) of 75,000 pages per month. But, as we had mentioned earlier, it is advisable to load the printer with less than 50,000 prints per month.
Other variations in this series are the CP3525dn which has an additional memory and the capability of automatic duplex printing, CP3525x that has integrated Colour Access Control feature and 850-page capacity on it.
Common embedded enterprise-class features include gigabit networking, IPv6 and IPSec.
All printers are currently available for purchase in the market. CP3520 carries a price tag of £300, CP3525dn at £450 and CP3525x at £650.
