HP Launches Two New Multi-Function Printers

J4524HP has announced the arrival of two new inkjet printers, Officejet J4524 and J6424 into the UK market. These printers have additional capability of copying, scanning and faxing. They are aimed at the office sector and are capable of taking a workload of 3000-5000 prints per month.

J4524, the base model, prints at a speed of 27ppm for grayscale and 21ppm for colour. The printer offers a best resolution of 600 X 1200 dpi and scanner of 1200 dpi. A card reader on the printer allows the printer to be used sans computer. This is not a normal function you would put on an office printer.

J6424 has a printing speed of 31ppm for grayscale and 25ppm for colour. The printing resolution is much better at 1200 X 1200 dpi and the scanner resolution is also higher at 4800 dpi. The rest of the functionalities are similar to J4524.

Both printers possess an in-built Ethernet and wireless modules which has unofficially become mandatory for offices.

Both printers are expected to hit the market this month. It is estimated that J4524 will be priced at £80 and J6524 at £150.
