HP Photosmart C4580 is a versatile system to print copy and scan. It occupies less space and weighs slightly above 14 pounds. It is suitable for general printing needs of documents, greeting cards, envelopes and photographs. It can take several materials like paper, labels, envelopes, photographic papers, transparencies cards and iron on transfers. It has facility to provide wireless printing.

The flatbed scanner produces good images with 1200 dpi resolution. The maximum size that can be scanned is 8.5 inches by 11.7 inches.

Photo prints with vibrant colors and lesser grains are printed with HP 342 ink cartridge. Sharp good quality text and graphic prints are provided by a black cartridge. Option is available to switch to six colors printing by adding photo cartridge to tri color cartridge HP 342 ink cartridge.

HP Photosmart C4580 provides copies as true as original. It can reduce up to 50 percent and can enlarge up to 400 percent. It provides good quality copies up to 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution.

Along with the printer drivers are provided for USB and wireless printing. To edit organize and share photographs Photosmart Essentials software is provided with the printer.

To convert scanned images to word, text, PDF or HTML with ease OCR software is provided with the printer. It is not easy and takes time to connect Wi-Fi for wireless printing. First Wi-Fi has to be connected through USB and key of SSID and WEP have to be entered.
