HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One Printer

HP has recently launched a new home printer, Photosmart C6380 which is feature-rich. It’s a multi-function printer that is capable of printing, scanning and copying and additionally, a photo printer as well.

The technology behind the printer is thermal inkjet. It contains five HP patented Vivera colour cartridges including black and can optionally use a high capacity ink cartridge as well.

Printing speeds are excellent at 33ppm for monochrome and 31ppm for colour in draft mode. A photo is produced every 18 seconds which is less than the half the rate of similar printers in the market. Wonderful!

The C6380 can take print orders directly through memory cards, USB keys and PictBridge provided.
However, it contains a tiny 2.4” LCD screen for previewing images before printing. Other competitive printers usually come with a LCD screen that’s twice the size of C6380. It’s weird that HP would not match a feature that can lure several consumers.

Yet another feature that is sufficient for users to go for this printer is the connectivity. Its network enabled, both wired and wireless.

The printer is available in the market and can be bought directly from HP website for £250 including VAT. The price of the printer is a little steep than others but we will have to find out the cost per print before judging the price equations.
