HP have released four new printers which should be available in the retail markets before mid May. These printers are low cost printers ideal for home and small office usage. A Photosmart essential button which is a common feature in all these deskjets enables users to save, share and print photos easily.
The HP D2460 is an economy class printer which can print up to 20ppm in black and 14ppm in colour. This is printer which does nothing other than printing and is priced at £25.
The D4260 is another economy class printer which has better printing speeds than its predecessor. It can print up to 30ppm in black and 23ppm in colour. A USB port on its front side allows users to transfers photos from digital cameras and memory cards on to a PC easily. It has a retail price of £36.
Also announced was the F4180, an all-in-one line of HP printers which can scan, copy and print. It has replaced F380 printer which I incidentally own in my flat. It has a flat bed scanner with a resolution of 1200 X 2400 dpi. It can print up to 20ppm in black and 14ppm in colour. It has a price tag of £40.
HP’s Photosmart C4280 is another all-in-one printer which has an additional functionality of previewing photos before printing on the 1.5” colour display. The printing speed is 30ppm for black and 23ppm for colour. It is priced at £50.
