InfoPrint Introduces an Array of Workgroup Solutions

InfoPrint, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh is adding a vast array of workgroup solutions, spanning from lower cost monochrome printers to the high valued multi-function laser printers.

InfoPrint 1811 and 1812 are the two entry level monochrome laser printers that claims to have features typically found in expensive printers. 1822 is an upgrade of the entry level printers with additional wireless functionality and faster printing rates. Other printers in this segment include 1832, 1852 and 1872.

Colour laser printing solutions are offered through 1824 as the base model with networking. 1826 is similar to the former but is a multi-functional printer with copying and scanning capabilities. Other MFPs include 1850 and 1860 that additionally consists of optional faxing capability. Better performances are guaranteed with the high end 1870 and 1880 printers.

“Our objective is to help our clients increase their revenue, decrease their costs and improve their operating efficiency by offering solutions to complex print and output challenges. We accomplish this by offering a broad, competitive product family matching the right technology to the right application with emphasis on reducing carbon footprint,” said Paul Preo, Director of Workgroup Solutions, InfoPrint Solutions Company.

These printers carry some of the latest in-demand features such as confidentiality mode that requires the user to be present in front of the printer for the print-outs to emerge. A similar feature was seen in the TallyGenicom 9045N heavy duty printer as well.

The costs of these printers are economically priced between £300 and £500. The final call on these inexpensive printers depends on the quality and cost per print that can be associated with these printers.
